A Local Guide in Asuka with 20 Years of Overseas Experience

< Discover Asuka through a Global Perspective >
I moved to Asuka Village in Nara Prefecture in 2021. Before that, I spent more than 20 years living in Bali, Indonesia.
What inspired me to settle in Asuka was its nostalgic rural scenery, which reminded me of the landscapes of Bali. Living in this village, where Japan’s original countryside beauty is still preserved, I felt a strong desire to share its charm with people from around the world. That is what led me to become a local guide.
Although my experience as a guide is still growing, I value introducing Asuka’s nature, daily life, and the warmth of its people from an authentic and personal perspective. I can provide guidance in conversational English. In addition to sightseeing, I am happy to assist with simple daily arrangements or local support during your stay. I enjoy meeting new people and creating friendly, relaxed conversations.
I also host farm-stay programs for students in Asuka Village and am planning to welcome more international guests in the future. In addition, I help with the Inabuchi Rice Terrace Owner Program and can arrange seasonal hands-on experiences such as rice planting and harvesting in the beautiful terraced fields.
Rather than simply visiting tourist spots, I would be delighted to share a moment where you can experience Asuka as if you were living here.
