The scenery of Asuka Village is similar to that of Bali, so I decided to move to Asuka Village, which retains the original Japanese landscape.

I moved to Asuka Village, Nara Prefecture, about three years ago. Prior to that, I lived in Bali, Indonesia, for over 20 years. The scenery of Asuka Village is similar to that of Bali, so I decided to move here, where Japan’s pristine landscape remains. I participated in this guide training because I wanted to share this area with more people from other countries. I have no prior experience as a guide; I have simply completed this inbound guide training course. I can speak English at a level that allows for everyday conversation, so if possible, I would like to start out by working in a position that involves attending to customers on their daily lives. I think I’m good at having fun conversations with people I meet for the first time. I also run farm stays for students in Asuka Village, and am planning to accept foreigners in the future. I also help with the Inabuchi rice terrace owner system, so I can guide people through rice planting and harvesting experiences on the terraces.
