A unique cycling tour that takes you through Japan’s verdant natural landscape!
Bike deep into Asuka, to the place where an ancient empress’s ritual blessed the land with heavy rain.

¥14,000 (Price per person including tax, common for adults and children)

Embark on a cycling tour to explore the legendary land of Oku Asuka, where Emperor Kōgyoku is said to have performed a rain-summoning ritual recorded in the “Nihon Shoki,” resulting in a downpour. Immerse yourself in the essence of gratitude through the dance of thanks, known as “Nademo Odori(dance),” and discover the mystical site of the rain- summoning legend, Mebuchi. Traverse the forests of Oku Asuka, follow the course of the Asuka River, and engage your senses in the beauty of nature. In ancient times, before the advancements of science, the act of prayer was synonymous with the cherished belief in the heart. Throughout the tour, experience the tangible narratives of Japan’s cultural heritage, the significance of nature, and the profound desires of people in times of epidemics and natural disasters. Take home the message of the importance of a believing heart, learned through the journey of the Japan Heritage Story.
